The Line 2 (Red Line) Athens Metro runs routes from Anthoupoli up to Elliniko, serving 20 stations. You can change lines at transfer stations Syntagma, Omonia, Monastiraki, Attiki, and Piraeus.

At station Syntagma, line Line 2 meets line Line 3, next to the permanent archaeological exhibition featuring finds from the Metro excavations. At Akropoli, replicas of the Parthenon frieze are on display.

The Line 2 is the red line of the Athens Metro. It runs from Anthoupoli up to Elliniko and serves 20 stations.

A complete trip from Anthoupoli to Elliniko takes about 33 minutes, depending on the time of day and the layover times at the stations.

The first buses depart around 5:00–5:30 a.m., and the last ones around 12:15 a.m. During peak hours, buses run every 3–5 minutes, and every 5–10 minutes at other times. Every Saturday, Lines 2 and 3 operate 24 hours a day.

The network’s transfer stations are Syntagma (Line 2/3), Omonia (Line 1/2), Monastiraki (Line 1/3), Attiki (Line 1/2), and Piraeus (Line 1/3).
