Overview
The Ancient Agora was the political, commercial and social heart of ancient Athens. It is home to the superbly preserved Temple of Hephaestus and the reconstructed Stoa of Attalos.

How to get there
Take Line 1 (green) and get off at Thiseio. Follow the Apostolou Pavlou pedestrian street; the site entrance is about a 5-minute walk. Alternatively, Monastiraki station (Lines 1 & 3) is a similar distance away.
Good to know
💡 The ticket is included in the combined Acropolis archaeological sites pass. The walkway around the site is lined with cafés facing the Acropolis, ideal at sunset.
